Common uses for steel road plates
Steel road plates/trench covers are essential for construction and maintenance projects.
Our road plates are made from 350 premium grade steel for strength and durability. They are the perfect solution if you need to cover roadways, driveways, or any surface that’s been dug up for repairs.
Their primary purpose is to create a safe, temporary driving surface so that traffic can continue moving over work sites without disruption.
- The size of our road plates are 2400mm long by 1200mm wide by 25mm thick and are designed to handle both light and heavy traffic. Their durability means they can support trucks and other heavy vehicles without bending or breaking.
- All our road plates have lifting eyes and fixing holes. A lifting rig is available for hire to make lifting and placement of the plates easy to manoeuvre from the truck to where they are to be placed.
-
As our road plates weigh 565 kg’s each, once placed in position they will not shift or create a hazard. If they require fixing down there are four holes (one in each corner) through which they can be fixed down.
Overall, steel road plates are a practical solution for managing roadworks efficiently and safely while keeping traffic flowing smoothly. Their strength, reliability, and safety features make them indispensable for road repairs and maintenance projects.
