Ideal solution to remove mud and debris from truck tyres before they leave your site.
Rumble grids are designed to agitate truck tyres as they drive across the raised ridges, removing clumps of mud and debris from tyres before vehicles drive out onto the public road.
These can either be buried 125mm in the ground or ramps can be supplied that are the same design for surface placement. Ramps are 4000mm x 1000mm creating a 4000mm x 4000mm platform for vehicles to drive across.
So how do these work?
As the tyre moves over the raised peaks the rubber is squashed and deformed which opens and moves the tread grooves around as the tyre rotates. That motion loosens mud, dirt and debris which then falls out of the grooves and down into the base of the rumble grid.
Trucks and vehicles usually travel across these at approximately 10kph which creates a shaking or vibrating motion as the tyre moves between the peaks and troughs. While tread grooves are being agitated the vehicle is also gently vibrated which assists in the removal of debris.

Installation Methods:
In Ground/Buried - These can be buried 125mm to provide a smooth flush transition over the rumble grid.
Above Ground/Surface Installation - Ramps can be supplied that fit on either side of the main rumble grid providing a surface mounted installation.
Permanent/Semi-permament Fixture - If your application requires a permanent or semi-premanent installation we can supply a rumble grid with fixing tabs through which they can be bolted down.
